brass bath

I really love good brass fittings. No not the bad kind that was builder grade in the 80's but the beautiful fixtures like those by P.E.Geurin. This bath shows how brass is still beautiful in a time when a lot of people are opting for bronze, nickel or chrome. Yes, I know brass can age and oxidize but how pretty to show the patina of time. I also love the layout of this bath, in the way it seems to be like you are stepping up to the tub, almost like your own personal Turkish bath.

The layout so reminds me of the plunge pool at the Hotel Alcazar Henry Flagler built in St. Augustine, Florida. Ah the spa experience circa 1887.
